[00:00:00] Speaker A: You're listening to the show about chaotic street based fights that involve large crabs. It's pork fried dice. I'm Eric, and I'm the dungeon master. [00:00:14] Speaker B: I'm Abby, and I play Rafina. [00:00:17] Speaker C: I'm Alex, and I play batweak. [00:00:20] Speaker D: I'm KT and I play Will. [00:00:24] Speaker E: I'm Adam and I play Roscoe. [00:00:29] Speaker A: Hold on to your haversacks. Let's roll. It's not about beating it. I just need to look at the numbers. [00:00:38] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:00:38] Speaker A: Performance. [00:00:43] Speaker D: Oh, a natural one on my performance. Oh, man. [00:00:50] Speaker A: I'm sorry, guys. You have no fucking clue. It just seems like part of the plan about trying to be aggressive. And he knows you guys are safe targets because you know what's going on, so he's just. And, Roscoe, you've got. You had a 16 on your insight, but you got too much crab spit in your eyes, so you can't really see what's going on. [00:01:12] Speaker B: Rafina says to mo, he's a closed shell. To me. [00:01:19] Speaker A: Walka. [00:01:20] Speaker B: Walka. [00:01:22] Speaker A: His shell looks kind of open. I think. He's got all those weird things flapping around at the end. [00:01:29] Speaker B: I'm in too much distress to make good jokes. [00:01:33] Speaker D: Okay. [00:01:34] Speaker A: Um. And do you keep going, will? [00:01:39] Speaker D: Um, I. I guess. Yeah, sure. Because if I think. Well, I mean, I guess I can't tell whether. Are they staring at me dumbfounded, like. [00:01:48] Speaker A: No, you don't know. I mean, you don't. [00:01:50] Speaker D: I can't read their expressions. Okay, well, then. [00:01:53] Speaker A: Okay, fine. Give me an insight. [00:01:55] Speaker D: Okay, well, sorry, I'm. I just don't know. Um, insight. That's a better role. [00:02:05] Speaker A: That's a 22. You can tell they don't know what you. They're not even looking back at her. [00:02:12] Speaker D: Dang. Um, what is next to me? This looks like a bed. Is that the inn? [00:02:20] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:02:21] Speaker D: Is there, like, a. [00:02:22] Speaker A: And then there's another street to your right. [00:02:24] Speaker D: I don't know. So is this just streets and buildings? There's no, like, things that I could pull down, like a ladder or, like. Like a sign? Yeah, like, basically, I want to just, like, knock something over so that maybe they have time to encounter this lady and I can get away a little bit more. But I'll. [00:02:46] Speaker E: Yeah, make a. Make a lobster. [00:02:48] Speaker D: Goal obstacle. I'm trying. [00:02:52] Speaker A: Up ahead, sort of at the edge, you see, there's the town. There's some gates you can maybe pull down. [00:02:59] Speaker D: Okay. [00:03:00] Speaker A: Like, where the buildings stop and Roscoe. [00:03:03] Speaker D: Is still on me, right? [00:03:05] Speaker C: Yep. [00:03:06] Speaker D: Okay, I guess I will. Wait, do I have. Is this all, like, too much? I feel like I've done too much in a turn. [00:03:13] Speaker A: You can move up to the gates and prepare to pull them down. [00:03:17] Speaker D: Yeah, that's what I'll do. [00:03:20] Speaker A: Bath. Whack. Run. [00:03:26] Speaker C: It's right behind me. Yeah, this is great. [00:03:29] Speaker D: I've got. [00:03:30] Speaker C: I've got him on a hook. Yeah. I'm leading him away from all of the. Yep. Yeah, all that stuff. Yeah, I'm just running. [00:03:42] Speaker A: And there is a significant crowd that is following. They're not as quick as all of you, but it looks like they're interested to see what's happening. So then we've got lean Roscoe. [00:04:01] Speaker B: Is that a spell you saw? [00:04:03] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:04:04] Speaker A: You saw her run away, but she is back on your. On your tail. She does not seem to give up. She doesn't look in great shape. [00:04:14] Speaker E: Um, I think I'm just gonna try puppet again. [00:04:19] Speaker A: Okay, so I got a. I have to roll. [00:04:23] Speaker E: Yeah, roll your con. [00:04:24] Speaker A: Save. Yep. Again, a 14. She fails and takes off. Same direction. [00:04:35] Speaker E: This time. I'll send her to the market. Maybe she'll see something she likes. [00:04:40] Speaker D: Go shopping. [00:04:41] Speaker A: Honeydew. All right, Rafina, you're being toted by your. [00:04:51] Speaker B: Are we there yet? [00:04:55] Speaker A: If you're just like, let's go. You feel like everything's, you know, just giving you the opportunity. [00:05:01] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, I know. [00:05:02] Speaker A: It's. You know, it's a win. [00:05:03] Speaker B: I just want to get there. Yeah. Okay. [00:05:05] Speaker D: Yes. [00:05:06] Speaker B: Carry on. [00:05:06] Speaker A: All right. [00:05:07] Speaker B: I feel like carry on luggage. [00:05:12] Speaker A: Not a dead thing. [00:05:13] Speaker B: Not the dead thing. [00:05:14] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:05:14] Speaker A: Okay. I keep losing my tabs here, and then. Yeah, mo takes off. Okay. [00:05:21] Speaker D: Oops. [00:05:24] Speaker A: Okay, so is everybody gonna just keep running at this point? [00:05:30] Speaker D: Well, I. It depends for that lady. She keeps following us, and now will. [00:05:36] Speaker A: Is like, oh, you're gonna pull down the gates? [00:05:38] Speaker D: Yes. [00:05:38] Speaker A: All right, so, yeah, go ahead and give me a strength check. Oh, it almost was a one. All right. [00:05:47] Speaker C: Still not great. [00:05:48] Speaker A: Well, but it's not your strength. [00:05:50] Speaker D: Okay. Oh, that's crab strength. Oh, what did I do? Oh, yeah, it's fine. [00:05:54] Speaker A: You just rolled the D 20. Just changing the modifier. Total of 19. [00:05:58] Speaker D: Oh. [00:05:59] Speaker A: So, yeah, you grasp sort of the frame of the gates, and you constrict and wrench, and you pull the gates down. [00:06:11] Speaker D: Okay. Like, into a thing that will hopefully be a little harder to. [00:06:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:17] Speaker D: Okay, good. [00:06:19] Speaker C: You're getting so comfortable in your crab body. [00:06:22] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:23] Speaker C: You're not gonna wanna change back. [00:06:24] Speaker D: Uh huh. No, it's gonna be great. You guys will be the talk of the town, whatever town you go to. [00:06:29] Speaker A: And then you just keep going, I. [00:06:32] Speaker D: Guess I think he's confused by how everyone is here. Like, he's, like, crabbing around. Like, is it his? [00:06:39] Speaker A: Well, you've been distracted by her. Like, you haven't. Everybody else has been. Well, bathwax, not right there. He's further ahead. [00:06:45] Speaker D: Okay. [00:06:46] Speaker A: But, yeah, mo has just been running. That's all he's been doing. [00:06:49] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:06:50] Speaker A: And Roscoe's been on your back this whole time. [00:06:53] Speaker D: Okay, cool. [00:06:53] Speaker A: So, of course he's there. So, yeah, you guys can all continue your way up the road. It's just this mad dash up the hill, up towards Demon's leap, and then eventually, if you look behind, you see this woman following, and you think she'll catch up before you get to the top super fast. So how does that change any you can out of initiative order? Tell me what you want to do that. [00:07:30] Speaker D: Well, I think that will, you said that was after a little while or. [00:07:36] Speaker A: Yeah, a little bit. Like a minute or two. [00:07:38] Speaker D: Yeah. So then I would have had time to, like. Because we can't be on top of each other. Will would be like, okay. Like, he'd be in this crab form, but isn't part of it, like, are we all supposed to be fighting? And why isn't anyone else casting spells? You know what I mean? Like, something needs to happen. Maybe somebody needs to be knocked out and left on the pathway or something. [00:08:01] Speaker C: That's what I mean. If we're on our way up, I feel like I should stop periodically to, like. I don't know. I don't have very much left to throw. I would probably throw the rest of my spears at will just to mock up that we're still fighting. [00:08:20] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [00:08:21] Speaker A: Cool. [00:08:23] Speaker C: Maybe I would move the, you know, move or recast the light spell. Just some spectacle, right? [00:08:34] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:08:35] Speaker A: And there's also a crowd coming, sort of following. This is a big deal. [00:08:39] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:08:40] Speaker A: They're not as quick as this woman is, but they're coming out of the. [00:08:42] Speaker E: Are they all climbing over the, like, fucking drop down gate? [00:08:47] Speaker A: Yeah, it's just slow. That's why she didn't catch up immediately. And it's harder, even for them, but it. [00:08:54] Speaker D: Wow. [00:08:54] Speaker A: It's not impassable. [00:08:56] Speaker E: How far are we at this point from Demon's leap from the top? [00:09:00] Speaker A: I'll say you're, like, halfway. [00:09:03] Speaker E: I mean, like. Like a distance. [00:09:06] Speaker A: How are half mile. [00:09:09] Speaker E: Oh, it's like thousands of feet. [00:09:14] Speaker A: Yeah. 5280 divided by two. [00:09:17] Speaker D: So is it, like, okay to say that? Like, maybe at some point, especially if more people are following us, like, are there obscuring the vision. Like, would they be able to see if we were talking to each other? [00:09:29] Speaker E: Kind of clear. [00:09:31] Speaker A: I mean, it's far enough away that. [00:09:32] Speaker D: I think Will is gonna be forced to turn back into just a human that the old grandpa shape or whatever. Okay. He's doing, like, an old man run up the hill, but he's. He's faster than an old man should be. [00:09:46] Speaker A: Well, you could fly, too. [00:09:47] Speaker D: Yes, I know, but I'm not doing that yet. But. But it's more because he needs to cast message, I think, to everybody so that we can talk and be like, you know, these people are way too close. [00:09:57] Speaker A: Like, this is not have a conversation right now. [00:10:00] Speaker D: Like, what happened? Like, nobody's down there. There to do crowd control. Everyone's coming up the fucking mountain. What's happening? Everyone's. Somebody's got to turn around and stop them. [00:10:12] Speaker A: You guys can reply. [00:10:13] Speaker D: Yes. Yeah, I would say it to everybody. [00:10:16] Speaker E: So, I mean, what happened when you turned into a person like Roscoe just riding your back? [00:10:22] Speaker D: Well, I also picture myself, like, at this point, if I've noticed that Roscoe's on me. I mean, he punched me in the shell. [00:10:29] Speaker A: Yep. [00:10:30] Speaker D: I can picture myself, like, flailing around again, like, very human like, as if you're trying to get somebody off your shoulders. Like, a little. Like, I don't know, a little creature, but it's a crab. He's running. He's trying to knock you off, like, but pull you off, not, like, kill you or anything. So, you know, it could. It could potentially be that I grab him. I wouldn't try to hurt you or anything, but to put you off of me and then turn into the myself or not myself, but humanoid shaped. [00:10:59] Speaker A: Do you let him grab you, Roscoe? [00:11:03] Speaker E: Sure. [00:11:03] Speaker A: Okay, so, yeah, you can. You can pluck him off of your back and drop him down on the side of the road. [00:11:10] Speaker D: Yeah. It can't be too gentle because, you. [00:11:12] Speaker C: Know, this is a show. [00:11:13] Speaker B: But can you tell me again what you brain texted us? Can you repeat that, please? [00:11:20] Speaker D: Like, there's too many people coming up the mountain. What the fuck? Somebody was supposed to stay behind and do crowd control. All these people are going to get too close. Somebody's got to do something. [00:11:32] Speaker E: Roscoe, wipe what's the remaining crab spit. [00:11:37] Speaker D: Out of his eyes, I guess. [00:11:39] Speaker A: Sure. [00:11:40] Speaker E: And he'd be like, yeah, it would. Message back, I guess, right? [00:11:44] Speaker A: Yeah, you can reply. [00:11:46] Speaker B: Is it reply all? Are we going to hear everybody? [00:11:50] Speaker A: I don't feel like dealing with that. You can all just have a conversation. It's fine. [00:11:53] Speaker D: Yeah, well, maybe. [00:11:55] Speaker E: I mean. [00:11:56] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:11:57] Speaker E: So, yeah, this. This whole show has gotten way out of hand. It is no longer following my carefully laid down choreography. [00:12:06] Speaker B: You still have the bones, Roscoe? [00:12:09] Speaker E: Yeah, I got him in my bag here. Are you. Are you good, Rafina? [00:12:15] Speaker D: Are you okay? [00:12:16] Speaker A: No, it's Mo. Are you still. Is Mo still carrying you? Like he would be unless you. [00:12:21] Speaker B: Yeah, he's still carrying. [00:12:22] Speaker D: Okay. [00:12:23] Speaker B: I'm just like, yeah. Coming back to. [00:12:26] Speaker A: Uh huh. [00:12:28] Speaker E: The question is, can you. Can you do your part? [00:12:38] Speaker B: I mean. Yes. [00:12:41] Speaker E: I mean, who's this lady anyway? Who is this half orc in the green, emerald green robes who punched a crab? [00:12:50] Speaker D: Guess what? [00:12:51] Speaker B: She absolved me. Talk about it later. [00:12:55] Speaker D: That gets Will's attention. But he's also like, we. Somebody needs to knock her the fuck out. I can't have her getting up in this situation up here, Mo. [00:13:08] Speaker A: Wow. [00:13:09] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:13:10] Speaker E: Grafina is very sad. She needs more absolution. Run down there and throw her at that lady. [00:13:22] Speaker D: What? What? [00:13:26] Speaker A: Okay. [00:13:27] Speaker D: Hey. [00:13:30] Speaker A: And everybody hears that. Is everybody okay with that happening? [00:13:35] Speaker B: Rafina's trying. Well, Abby's trying to think really fast. [00:13:38] Speaker E: Because Rufina still seems upset, and she seems like she doesn't really. [00:13:43] Speaker B: She sort of. When you mentioned the absolute absolution. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolve. What. What is the word? [00:13:52] Speaker E: Absolvency. [00:13:53] Speaker D: Absolve. [00:13:55] Speaker A: It's Abby. [00:13:57] Speaker E: It's absolution. [00:13:59] Speaker B: She's absolution. Thank you. She sort of, like, goes boneless a little bit again and says, fine, throw me at the lady. [00:14:08] Speaker D: No, will says, because he's like, I don't understand what that is. And he just casts magic missile to hit the lady. Okay, is she in range? [00:14:16] Speaker A: What's the range on Mazic? Missile? [00:14:19] Speaker D: Mazic, 120ft. That's probably too close. She would hear us or whatever. [00:14:27] Speaker A: Well, you're messaging. [00:14:29] Speaker D: Okay, that's a lot of complicated message for me to relay back and forth. [00:14:33] Speaker A: It's fine. I get it, but it's fine. [00:14:38] Speaker D: You can speak in a series of messages and whispers. We're all running together and fighting, I guess. Making it look like we're fighting, I hope. [00:14:46] Speaker A: Yeah, it looks good. [00:14:48] Speaker D: I'll eldritch blast around Rafina or whatever. Like, I need to still be. [00:14:52] Speaker A: Yeah, be 120ft. Yeah, she's within that. Okay, so what is. How does that. It's what, automatic hit? [00:14:58] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:14:59] Speaker A: So just. You gotta roll the damage. [00:15:02] Speaker D: Yay. Did it work? [00:15:04] Speaker A: Yep, that's it. [00:15:06] Speaker D: Probably. It's just a bitty spell. I just want to hit her. [00:15:11] Speaker A: Did you want to cast at a higher level? [00:15:15] Speaker D: Ooh, um. [00:15:17] Speaker A: Because level one, it does one d. Four plus one. [00:15:20] Speaker D: Um, let me look at what I got. [00:15:25] Speaker C: Oh, it's. [00:15:25] Speaker A: You make three darts right now. [00:15:29] Speaker D: That was three she takes. [00:15:30] Speaker A: She's gonna take 15 damage. [00:15:32] Speaker D: Did it do it? [00:15:33] Speaker A: It's. It's 15. Unless you had chosen to roll a. No, that's greater level 15. [00:15:40] Speaker D: Yep. [00:15:42] Speaker A: All right, so, yeah, what do you have? You described your magic missiles. Look at the back cover. Your notebook. [00:15:51] Speaker D: I might not have a description here. [00:15:53] Speaker A: I bet you do. [00:15:56] Speaker D: Oh, it looks like she got shived. Like. Like, it's like this. It's a series of stabbing, like, shadows rushing at her. [00:16:07] Speaker A: Nice. [00:16:07] Speaker D: Like that. [00:16:09] Speaker A: Cool. So three mystical sharpened toothbrushes. [00:16:13] Speaker D: Yes. [00:16:15] Speaker A: Plunge into her body, and she. She staggers with each hit, and she even goes to down to one knee for a second, and then she gets back up and is kind of, like, holding her side as she's running. She's going a little slower. You think she will probably still catch up, but it's gonna take a little longer. Is there anything else anybody wants to do before she catches up? [00:16:36] Speaker D: What happens to that after that? I just did that. I fully expect Rafina to be very upset, and that's okay. He said no, and then he cast that spell and hit her, and she obviously is doing worse. [00:16:48] Speaker B: So Rafina goes and just sort of boneless. More bonelessness. [00:16:57] Speaker D: Rafina. Like, should you pretend to be hurt or something? Maybe she'll stop to get. I don't know. What do you want from me and Eldridge? Blasting all around, trying to make sure that looks like we're fighting. Is rufina gonna cast anything? I don't know. [00:17:10] Speaker A: Doesn't sound like it. [00:17:11] Speaker C: Okay, well, my last spear goes flying over your head. [00:17:16] Speaker A: Are you trying to hit the lady? [00:17:19] Speaker C: No, no, I'm just throwing. I'm trying not to hit anybody. [00:17:22] Speaker A: Okay. [00:17:23] Speaker C: If I need to roll for not hitting, let me know when I'll say apart. [00:17:27] Speaker A: That's fine. [00:17:28] Speaker E: What I'll say is, like. I mean, basically, like, long term endgame. Like, if she gets up here, Roscoe is gonna try to cast puppet on her one. One more time and have her run through Demon's leap between the two horns. [00:17:50] Speaker A: Okay, well, she might get up there. That's. Yeah, like you said, that's long term. You're not. You're not there yet. She's gonna catch up to you as a group before you get to Demon's leap. [00:17:59] Speaker D: Yeah, that's what he was saying. So we have to do something now. That's why he hit her. Like, if we're if it's seems like there's hesitancy, Will. Will just hit her again. Like, he. Will knows that we need this to work. So he and he. [00:18:19] Speaker E: Roscoe is the frustrated director of this production. He gave Moe a direction, and apparently Mo is not doing it. [00:18:27] Speaker A: Well, Will said no. [00:18:30] Speaker D: Oh, just me saying no. [00:18:32] Speaker E: And that gave basically the same idea of, like, Rufina go down and distract her. [00:18:36] Speaker D: Yeah, I did. I mean, like, he. Like. Yeah. What do I do? Um, I don't know. Like, is she going to stop or she just gonna chase me? [00:18:49] Speaker E: Mo, go and stop her. Force her to help Rafina. Oh, okay. [00:18:56] Speaker A: And, uh, Mo turns with Rufina on his back and starts running back towards the, uh, the woman. Are the rest of you just trying to run and keep up your shtick? [00:19:07] Speaker D: Well, at that point, if I think that Roscoe is actually handling that, then I'm going to go faster, as fast as I can. Maybe even fly a little bit. I don't know. But my boots don't fly much faster than I can. [00:19:17] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, you're an old dude now, I forgot. Yeah, you can fly faster than you can run. I think it's 40, isn't it? Or is it 60? [00:19:25] Speaker D: Well, fly is 60, I think. [00:19:26] Speaker A: Oh, but the boots are not. [00:19:27] Speaker D: The boots are not. And I'm not casting fly yet. [00:19:31] Speaker A: What are they? Let me look. Winged boots. Flying speed equal to your walking speed. You don't go any faster. [00:19:41] Speaker D: So. [00:19:41] Speaker A: Yeah, not walking, it doesn't mean not running. It means your speed as if you were moving on the ground. Well, yeah, it's 30ft per round. [00:19:51] Speaker D: Yeah. Then I'm trying to use them, you know, just hoping that I won't trip or anything. I need to try to catch up to bathwack. [00:19:58] Speaker A: Okay. [00:19:59] Speaker E: And as you fly off, Roscoe's gonna shake his arm at you and yell out, come back here and leave my friend alone, you nemo fuck. [00:20:12] Speaker A: Can't think of the crab's name and finding Nemo. [00:20:14] Speaker D: It's okay. There's a crab. In finding Nemo. [00:20:19] Speaker B: There are two crabs. They're like. [00:20:21] Speaker D: Yeah, I don't. [00:20:23] Speaker A: What about in the fish tank? Is that like a shrimp? [00:20:25] Speaker D: There's a shrimp guy. Yeah. French or something. [00:20:30] Speaker C: Are you thinking about the lobsters? Are you and Bob. [00:20:34] Speaker B: Yeah, you're right, you're right. [00:20:36] Speaker D: I really know. [00:20:37] Speaker B: The crab's catching the bubbles. [00:20:38] Speaker D: Oh, the bubbles. Oh, oh, oh, okay. Yeah, I remember the one that gets really excited about the bubbles. Is kind of crazy about the bubbles. [00:20:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:47] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:20:48] Speaker A: Okay, cool. All right, so mo runs back with Rufina on his back. And as he runs up to her, he says, you have to help my friend. [00:21:03] Speaker D: She hurt. [00:21:05] Speaker A: And she says, take her to a healer, and runs past him. [00:21:10] Speaker D: No, wait, wait. [00:21:12] Speaker A: And he tries to, like, get in her way. [00:21:16] Speaker B: Rafina, cast spirit guardian. [00:21:20] Speaker A: Okay. [00:21:22] Speaker B: And chooses, since I can pick which character, which other people are unaffected by it. [00:21:30] Speaker A: Right? [00:21:31] Speaker B: So basically, all of my friends are unaffected by it except for her. Okay, but it looks like I'm using it to protect myself because it's protecting me. Right, sure. From all of the craziness. [00:21:50] Speaker A: Yeah, it's centered on you and exactly. [00:21:56] Speaker B: Trying to think what it's gonna look like. [00:22:00] Speaker A: My next question. You beat me too. We've had a few different spirit guardian in my repertoire. Yeah. [00:22:09] Speaker B: My repertory. [00:22:11] Speaker A: We've had vegetables. We've had. What else have we had? No, that's different, isn't it? Isn't that something else? Isn't that a different spell? I don't know. Maybe not. Maybe it was spirit guardians. [00:22:25] Speaker B: I think it was spirit guardians. All right, so it's a giant ruffina. She feels like she's the only one who can take care of herself. [00:22:37] Speaker C: Right? [00:22:38] Speaker A: That's terrifying. [00:22:39] Speaker B: It is really terrifying. It kind of scares rufina. [00:22:44] Speaker A: So, yeah, this, um. So the affected. An affected creature, which is her, is. Their speed is halved, and when they enter the area or start their turn there, they have to make a wisdom save, and then if they fail, they take damage, and she. [00:23:02] Speaker B: Did she go by us just now? [00:23:04] Speaker D: What did. [00:23:04] Speaker A: She's, like, right next to you. So she's gonna start her turn in it. [00:23:08] Speaker B: Okay, great. [00:23:09] Speaker A: And it is her turn because. Roscoe. Roscoe. [00:23:12] Speaker C: God damn it. [00:23:12] Speaker A: Mo is turning to try to keep up with her. Well, you slow her down so he's able to keep up. So she's still within the aura at the start of her turn, so she's gonna make a wisdom save. So that is. Okay, what's your spell save? DC. [00:23:31] Speaker B: Oh, it is 16. [00:23:37] Speaker A: All right, she fails, so I need you to roll damage. Three, D, eight cat. [00:23:47] Speaker B: I'm just gonna do it the old fashioned way. [00:23:51] Speaker A: So old fashioned, I swear. [00:23:53] Speaker E: For Fina. Kills this lady accidentally. [00:23:55] Speaker D: I know. That's good. That's a lot of damage. [00:23:59] Speaker A: 14 damage. [00:24:01] Speaker B: But I'm not trying to kill her. [00:24:03] Speaker A: The woman collapses on the road. [00:24:06] Speaker D: Ooh. [00:24:07] Speaker A: Okay, what does it look like when giant ruffina deals damage? Like, radiant damage. [00:24:16] Speaker B: Rafina is standing there with her hands on her hips, looking very annoyed, and the woman just bumps into her, into her knees. And falls over. [00:24:29] Speaker A: Yep. All right, so she is unconscious. I assume Roscoe and Bathwack and Will are going up. [00:24:43] Speaker D: Yes. Especially if I see that I'm like, hell, yeah. And then I really try to book it. [00:24:48] Speaker A: Okay. [00:24:48] Speaker D: Put rockets on my feet. [00:24:50] Speaker C: And I wonder if we need her as a witness. Well, I guess we have plenty of other witnesses. [00:24:55] Speaker A: The crowd is slowly coming up, and the view, it's not, like, obscured, like it is visible from down there. It's just, you know, far away. So you'll have people seeing what's going on. [00:25:07] Speaker D: I'm Eldritch. Blasting all over the place. [00:25:10] Speaker A: Yep. So, yeah, you guys, unless there's anything mo is, then just tears up past this woman who's laying on the ground and just continues up after everybody. Rafina, you. You still have agency, but if you allow him to carry you, you will be carried. [00:25:30] Speaker B: Um, yeah, I'm gonna be carried. [00:25:32] Speaker A: Okay. So, yeah, does anybody have anything else that need they would like to happen or describe happening before you get to the leap? [00:25:41] Speaker E: Do the plan. Do the plan. [00:25:46] Speaker D: What was the plan? No, the plan is let's do. Let's do it. Let's just do it. [00:25:52] Speaker A: Yep. [00:25:53] Speaker D: Whoo. [00:25:55] Speaker A: Okay, so, yeah, so you guys find yourself standing at the top of the corner. [00:26:00] Speaker C: No, just standing. [00:26:01] Speaker A: Well, fine cobbling. [00:26:03] Speaker D: We're running. Yeah. [00:26:04] Speaker A: You run up and you get to demon sleep. You know, two massive, pointy granite outcroppings that look like corns got up into the sky. The sea is beyond. Which direction is it? North. So the sun is kind of in that direction, sort of silhouetting the horns. There's this small, flat, open area. It's kind of near the road. There's not anybody up here at this point. This is it. [00:26:43] Speaker E: It's the big climax. [00:26:44] Speaker A: Yeah. You hear the wave, the surf crashing below. And so, yeah, Bathwhack gets there first. What are you doing, Bathwack? [00:27:05] Speaker C: Well, I'm going to dig in and turn around and get ready to face the crab. We're the old man now. The old man. [00:27:12] Speaker A: That's grandpa. [00:27:12] Speaker C: That's grandpa. [00:27:14] Speaker D: Come on. That's Grandpa Batwack in his battle against the grandpa twill go down in history. Amazing. [00:27:27] Speaker A: And will, you are able to reach there next? [00:27:30] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay, well, so I would be messaging Bathwhack like, well, okay, how far away are people? How. How much time do we have before people are within a range that I think they would see something? I want them to be far away. I don't want them to be up here. [00:27:48] Speaker A: You have a few minutes. At least a few minutes. [00:27:50] Speaker D: Okay. So, like, then I mess it, you know? Oh, go ahead. [00:27:56] Speaker C: No, nothing. Since we're out of sight of. I mean, since we're pretty far away. [00:28:00] Speaker A: Yeah, you're in sight, but, like, nobody can hear you unless they have some magical way of listening. [00:28:08] Speaker C: I'm gonna. I'm gonna hover off the ground. Like. Like a hovercraft. Like, just. [00:28:14] Speaker A: Yeah, that's undiscernible. [00:28:15] Speaker C: Half a centimeter. I just want to make sure that my. That everything is working. [00:28:23] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Well, so, like, I think what I'm gonna do, like, will sends this as a message. Like, I think what I'm gonna do is that I don't. I don't know about going in between those fucking horns. Corns. Horns. [00:28:38] Speaker C: Horns. [00:28:38] Speaker D: I don't know about going between. I don't know. I came up here and I checked it out, but I. I don't. I don't like this. And so I think that if we. And he's like, then he casts eldritch blast. He's like. He's making it look like he's fighting him, but he's just talking to him in his head. Like, I think that if. If we get up there and we can get close enough that it almost looks like we're between the horns, I can cast a large enough spell that might cover us hiding, and then we are not actually what people see going over the edge. I can cast an image of us falling over the edge. [00:29:16] Speaker C: I mean, I can go over the side. Like, on the side. We don't have to go through the middle. I can take a tumble off the right horn or the left horn. [00:29:26] Speaker D: Oh, you want to go on top of the horn? [00:29:29] Speaker C: No, no, no. I'll just go over the side, though. It's fine. [00:29:34] Speaker D: It's just not as dramatic. Bath whack. Are you ashamed if I cast a fake image of you dying? You want to do your own stuff? Flying bathwock wants to do his own stunts is what. [00:29:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:29:50] Speaker E: Dead reckoning. [00:29:54] Speaker C: Do a few twirls and then open my arms out and. Yep. And then just miss the bottom. [00:30:01] Speaker D: Yeah. I mean, what is bathwaik really saying? Like, as far as, like. Because we should. We need to decide this. [00:30:08] Speaker C: I mean, I was totally planning to go off. Off the side, but not through the center. [00:30:12] Speaker D: Okay. Just looks more dramatic if it's through the center. [00:30:15] Speaker C: All right, all right. [00:30:16] Speaker D: Show me the ship. [00:30:18] Speaker C: We'll do it your way, Will. [00:30:20] Speaker D: Yes. [00:30:20] Speaker C: I'll hide somewhere. [00:30:23] Speaker E: And Bathwack has the mask so where's. [00:30:30] Speaker D: Bathwatch gonna hide so he can still go down the cliff? So I don't know if I'm communicating this clearly in character, but what I'm saying is I just. I thought it might be cool looking if, like. Because I can make, like, it look like a big explosion, and then at the. As that, like. Or a big light or something. As that clears, like, the two of us could be tumbling off the cliff or whatever, on fire or whatever. I can make it look like whatever Michael Bay movie. But then we just. Are we go down the cliff or we hide wherever we were going to hide in the first place, but we don't have to actually go through the center, which is. I just thought it's just will insisting on, like, look at it. It looks cool that way. Like, people will remember it. We were trying to cause a spectacle. That's his only. [00:31:19] Speaker E: So you will still both end up down below. [00:31:24] Speaker D: Yeah. Hiding down below Roscoe. [00:31:26] Speaker E: So during this while they're kind of conferring, Roscoe would be trying to get a sense or what would have been told by will, presumably, because will came up here and checked this out. So we have prior knowledge. Is there at least some kind of. Maybe steep, but some kind of winding, like, path down around that goes down to the beach below the cliff? Or is it at least traversable so that Roscoe can, like, get down there and then come back up with the bones? [00:32:03] Speaker D: Yeah, that was something I had mentioned at one point. I remember, but I don't remember, like, what we decided. [00:32:10] Speaker A: Okay. [00:32:10] Speaker D: I don't know if we. I think we joked that when it was Rufina, that she would fly up with the boots or something like that, but that obviously is not even. [00:32:21] Speaker A: There's, like, a. It's not directly, like, from where the corns are, there's, like, a path if you go further down to the side. Like, you have to go a little ways down, like, as the roads sloops back down and then kind of cut around. [00:32:37] Speaker E: Yeah. Roscoe would have kind of stopped there. Like, it's actually. [00:32:43] Speaker A: It's past. So, like, people wouldn't even see you doing it, like, diverting. [00:32:48] Speaker E: Okay. [00:32:49] Speaker A: It's, like, over the crest. Like, the road goes basically up to and past Demon's leap, and then this path was past that and down the other side. [00:32:58] Speaker E: So Roscoe's positioning himself off to the side. He's, like, acting all out of breath, like. And with his hand up to his head, like, he's like, oh, this fight. Oh, no. But he's. And he's like pacing, but he's positioning himself so that he has direct access to that path once the image goes over, and then cool, they actually go over, too. [00:33:24] Speaker A: Okay. [00:33:26] Speaker D: And I don't know if we actually discussed this before, but will would also be checking with Bath. Like, bathwack. What are you going to look like? Where are you going to show. Where are you going to show your face again? Are you going to look like a fisherman at the bottom of the beach? What do you want to do? [00:33:37] Speaker E: Because pathway has the mask. [00:33:40] Speaker C: Yeah, I got the mask. [00:33:40] Speaker E: Is it a mask or a hat? [00:33:42] Speaker D: It's a mask. [00:33:42] Speaker C: Okay, that's a good idea. [00:33:45] Speaker D: Oh, what fisherman? [00:33:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:33:48] Speaker D: I'm full of great ideas that I cast Eldritch blast and I kill him. [00:33:53] Speaker E: Fisherman's great, because then he could also be the same fisherman on the ship. [00:33:58] Speaker D: Yeah. Hey, he can help us catch fish to eat while we sail the seven seas or the one c or whatever. The bay also. Yeah. So he would be worried about that. And he would also, like, will would be planning on. Because I guess I have to transform back into Valencia Bejemin at some point. [00:34:15] Speaker A: At some point. [00:34:16] Speaker C: Okay, I'll accidentally turn into Nats Grandpa. [00:34:22] Speaker D: Uh oh. Who won? Okay. Okay. Yeah. All right. [00:34:29] Speaker A: It's a good job making the plan. [00:34:30] Speaker D: Yeah. We're improvising. We're communicating. Yeah. [00:34:36] Speaker A: Okay. [00:34:37] Speaker D: I think that's what we're doing. Like, we attempt to do that. There you go. [00:34:41] Speaker A: And Mo catches up with Rufina on his shoulders, and he sets ruffina down and then pulls out his knife and starts brandishing it at Nat's grandpa. [00:35:01] Speaker D: Die, evil villain. Okay, now what? [00:35:07] Speaker B: And rafina yells, even though no one can really hear her. This spirit guardian does not appear to have any effect. [00:35:20] Speaker D: Oh, gosh. Oh. [00:35:27] Speaker A: I mean, if you've got thaumaturgy, you could make that loud enough so I can hear you. [00:35:31] Speaker D: Totally. [00:35:31] Speaker B: Actually, she does that. Yeah, she's gonna do that. [00:35:35] Speaker A: It's almost like the big rufina is saying that. [00:35:38] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. [00:35:39] Speaker D: And if Rufina is within distance of me sending her a message, I'll whip around and be like, do you have any more loud noises? Make it sound like more shit's happening up here. Cast some thunder. I don't know what to do. What to do? Something. It's just gotta be all epic looking. [00:35:52] Speaker E: This has got to be like, revenge of the Sith. Like lava. [00:35:55] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:35:56] Speaker E: Tearful screams. Come on, you got this. [00:36:01] Speaker D: Oops. [00:36:01] Speaker B: I just rolled thaumaturgy. That's not what I meant to do. So with yes. I can create an instantaneous sound. Oh. Such as a rumble of thunder or ominous whispers. Okay, so I'm going to do that. Yep. I'm going to create thunder sounds. I'm also going to then do it again. It's a cantrip. [00:36:27] Speaker A: Yep. [00:36:28] Speaker B: And then I can make it loud where I. I make that announcement about my spirit guard. [00:36:37] Speaker A: Okay, so, yeah, you guys are not really in initiative order, so I just want. [00:36:42] Speaker D: Do I think it looks believable? Do I think it looks believable? Like, everyone's up here and not doing anything? Yeah, he's going to hit me. Yeah. [00:36:49] Speaker A: I'm assuming you're not standing there. That's what. [00:36:51] Speaker D: Okay. All right. [00:36:51] Speaker A: People are holding back. [00:36:52] Speaker D: I don't want it to just be like. Everyone's just like. [00:36:54] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:36:55] Speaker D: What's happening? [00:36:57] Speaker A: All right, so that's. Whack hits you. [00:36:59] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm not actually. I'm not actually hitting you hard now. [00:37:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:37:03] Speaker C: I'm swinging the sword aggressively and then stopping it just short of you. But I want to do. I guess I want to cast daylight up at the top of the. One of the peaks or right over the center of the devil horns. [00:37:15] Speaker A: Sure. [00:37:18] Speaker C: I guess I can. I can put it. Yeah, I can just leave it. I'm going to leave it up at the top between the two horns because I want to draw people's attention there. Cool. [00:37:28] Speaker A: Yeah. This, like, glowing orb is, like, hovering between the tips of the horns. [00:37:35] Speaker C: It's just a daylight spell, but. But it. Yeah. [00:37:38] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. [00:37:41] Speaker A: What is. What is likes that? That's Nat's grandpa doing. [00:37:45] Speaker D: That's awesome. Well, now I want to jump through the freaking horns. That's gonna look really cool. [00:37:52] Speaker C: Will, throw me in the air and then, like, swap me down with your claw. [00:37:56] Speaker A: He's not a crab. [00:37:57] Speaker D: I'm not a crab. [00:37:58] Speaker C: Oh, crap. I love this. [00:38:00] Speaker D: Turn back, pretend. [00:38:03] Speaker C: I don't know. [00:38:06] Speaker D: Yeah, let's see. [00:38:08] Speaker C: I was trying to. I mean, how are we gonna make it look like you're kicking my ass? That's what we're going for here. [00:38:13] Speaker D: Well, yeah, I. How is that really? What? Bathrock? [00:38:17] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, how are you going to kick my ass, Will? Come on. Like. [00:38:21] Speaker D: Well, I mean, come on. Does he really want to be hit? I'll Eldridge blast him. For real? Like, I've been casting. [00:38:28] Speaker C: Yeah, hit me. [00:38:28] Speaker D: Sure. [00:38:29] Speaker C: So, yeah, hit me with Eldritch blast. [00:38:30] Speaker D: Yeah, I cast it. Okay, will. I mean, he smiles when that. [00:38:38] Speaker A: Just one blast. [00:38:40] Speaker D: Oh, well, I have three. I just asking, how hurt does batswack really look like? [00:38:45] Speaker A: Seven damage from that one. [00:38:48] Speaker D: Yeah. I'll hit him with one of them, and the other two fly off to side or whatever. [00:38:54] Speaker A: Like, striking the corns. [00:38:56] Speaker D: Striking the corn. [00:38:57] Speaker C: All right, so I'll use my boots to slide back, but I'll dig my feet in again. Not good enough, will. [00:39:05] Speaker D: Shit. Wait a second. Shut up. And that's Grandpa. [00:39:14] Speaker E: Be respectful. [00:39:15] Speaker A: Call me by my name. Grandpa. [00:39:18] Speaker D: He so. Oh, man. Well, okay. Like, I changed my appearance to look like Nat's grandpa is, like, growing and stretching into this. Like, I don't know, like, I'm thinking of, like, how some of the dark powers have appeared to us. There was the swirly man with, like, purple stuff like that. Yeah, like, maybe I have some of that, but I also have, like, I don't know, some other thing that we've seen. Like, there was, like, hellhounds or something that, like, lank had or something. There were, like, different powers. Like, I try to combine a couple of the looks of those different kinds of magic. [00:39:58] Speaker A: Sure. [00:39:59] Speaker D: Into this kind of, like, elemental ish, void ish shape. [00:40:06] Speaker C: That's great. I'm seriously freaked out. [00:40:10] Speaker D: And it's all just an illusion. It's not actually doing anything. So then I guess I'm gonna tell him, like, this won't feel like anything to you, but you have to sell it. And then I guess I'm going to cast major image. [00:40:29] Speaker A: Okay. [00:40:32] Speaker D: And if I cast it at this level, I can make a visible phenomenon that is no larger than a 20 foot cube. Like, I'm going to make it look like there's, like, a big, weird kind of, like, magic from these magics, the same color magic. Because, again, I'm performing also for if Xantris or Juliet rusher are somehow seeing this or perceiving this and also. [00:40:57] Speaker C: All right, so while this is swirling up, then I guess I'm gonna pin my arms to my body and I'll start to float up into the air. Like, I can't move. [00:41:08] Speaker A: Okay, cool. [00:41:09] Speaker D: Yeah. It was literally, like, the major image, I was gonna say was, like a big, like, hand coming out and, like, reaching for him, which is really weird because he, like, totally. It's. Yeah, so, like, if I already see him do that, it's like, then it's just like, a swirly thing around him. Like, that looks like I'm right doing that. Okay, so, yeah, cool. [00:41:30] Speaker A: And this is a concentration unless you cast it with your six level slot. [00:41:35] Speaker D: Unless I cast it with my six. Okay. [00:41:38] Speaker A: If you do that, it doesn't take your concentration. [00:41:41] Speaker D: Well, I'm concentrating right now, is that a bad thing? Can I not. [00:41:44] Speaker A: No, I'm just saying, like, if you have. If you want to cast any other concentration spells, this will go away. [00:41:49] Speaker D: I understand. Okay, so then. And he's gonna, like, point as if he's gonna, like, direct this matter or whatever, this hand ish kind of thing that's reaching out and, like, do it. You know, dribble you like a basketball. Okay, if I can. But you're the one that's got to do it, because you're flying. [00:42:10] Speaker C: Yeah, that's actually what I was thinking. I was thinking, like, tumbling and rocking back up and then, like, flying myself more or less right into the ground. [00:42:18] Speaker D: Oh, so we're doing the theater exercise where. [00:42:21] Speaker E: Yeah, you do. [00:42:22] Speaker D: It's a mirror exercise. We have to do the exact same motions as. [00:42:28] Speaker E: Meisner. Oh, that's what it is. [00:42:32] Speaker D: Just Meisner. [00:42:34] Speaker E: Meisner technique. It's the name of the guy who invented mirrors. [00:42:41] Speaker D: Invented mirrors. [00:42:43] Speaker A: Meisner. [00:42:44] Speaker E: Meisner on the wall. [00:42:45] Speaker D: I had no idea. I always had just heard it as, like, the mirror game, I think. [00:42:50] Speaker E: I took a Meisner workshop taught by Gary Smith. [00:42:53] Speaker D: What else is in mice? Like, what else? [00:42:56] Speaker E: Oh, that's all I remember about it. [00:42:57] Speaker D: Oh, really? That's hilarious. [00:42:58] Speaker E: Well, no, it's the mirror physically, but then you also, like, repeat the same line at each other. And the goal is to not consciously or intentionally add anything or change it. Don't force anything to change. Just be present. Just mirror each other. Whatever changes come about as a result of this practice are more kind of organic and authentic. If you're not forcing it, don't force it. [00:43:27] Speaker B: Pathwack. [00:43:29] Speaker C: I'm getting pretty into it. I'm hitting the ground pretty hard. [00:43:32] Speaker A: Good. [00:43:34] Speaker D: And I'm trying to follow. You know, like, whatever he's doing, I'm trying to follow him. [00:43:38] Speaker A: That's awesome. [00:43:39] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:43:40] Speaker A: Rafina, are you contributing to the Elysian? [00:43:44] Speaker B: I use thaumaturgy again to. Well, I really wanted to wait to do this until they landed. I'm gonna do something different. Okay. Sorry. You were hearing all of my thoughts. [00:43:55] Speaker D: Oh. [00:43:55] Speaker A: Landed at the bottom. [00:43:55] Speaker D: That's what happens with me, too. Yeah. Speaking all the thoughts out loud. [00:44:04] Speaker B: I am creating with thaumaturgy. A. May I have permission to make the horns seem to glow and flicker and brighten or dim. Brighten and dim and in a variety of colors while all this is happening? [00:44:27] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:44:28] Speaker B: Why, thank you. [00:44:29] Speaker A: Sure. [00:44:29] Speaker B: Because I can do it to flames. And they look like flames. [00:44:32] Speaker A: Look like flames. So, yeah, the horns are sparkling and glowing. They almost seem to be moving with the shifting lights? [00:44:46] Speaker B: Yes. [00:44:47] Speaker A: Rosco, are you still agonizing? Head to your hand. To your head. Is that a yes? [00:44:59] Speaker E: Yes. [00:44:59] Speaker A: Okay, cool. Will bathwack. [00:45:04] Speaker D: Okay. [00:45:06] Speaker C: Guess who should kill me. [00:45:10] Speaker D: This is amazing. Okay, great. So then I'm going to cast. So major image is interesting. So it's like, just I can make things look different. So I could make it even look like in my major image because it says I can change the way. Like, I can. [00:45:29] Speaker A: You can change it as you go? [00:45:30] Speaker D: Yeah, different sounds, all this stuff. So I can make bathwhack look like he's getting beat up too. Like, I could kind of change the way he looks, presumably because he's in the sphere of my magic. So, like, I'm helping him look like he's getting beaten to a bloody pulp or whatever. [00:45:46] Speaker B: Yep. [00:45:49] Speaker D: I try to make my own figure look like it's getting more powerful or something. As this is happening, as long as. [00:45:55] Speaker A: You'Re within 20ft of each other, you just have to both be in the. [00:45:57] Speaker D: No, my. So I guess, I don't know, like with my. The thing where I can change my appearance. That's what the spell I'm using for that, which doesn't require concentration. So I was just changing myself to look like that. Is that not possible? Do I have to look like a normal person? No. [00:46:12] Speaker A: I mean, there's a certain size limitation. If you wanted it to be bigger, if you're in the cube, you can have it apply to you. [00:46:19] Speaker D: Right. Well, okay, if I can get myself in the cube, but I'm worried that if I move him out of the cube, some kind of magic is going to be lost because it's only a 20 foot right space. [00:46:28] Speaker A: Yeah. So I'm saying you could step forward. You don't have to move the cube back. [00:46:33] Speaker D: Yes, but I'm still. He's still moving all over the place. I'm just. I'm. I'm just being cautious. I know you. You're like. You never. You're like. Why are you even cautious? Why do you care? I never kill you. [00:46:41] Speaker A: So just wait. [00:46:42] Speaker D: Uh. Oh, fuck. All right, so then, so this, the major image lasts for up to ten minutes. So, like, presumably I could be doing all this and changing the whole thing the whole time. Is that like, really how it works? Like, I can make it look like a movie. I can make it look like fires are erupting everywhere. I can make it look like all of that. [00:47:06] Speaker A: Yeah, that's. Again, like I said, that's why it takes concentration. [00:47:09] Speaker D: Okay, great. Well, then I'm focusing all my efforts on making this look just very scary. And he's all bloody and there's, like, this dark, powery shit, like, sure going between us. And, you know, it's a big performance for Xantras if he's peaking. [00:47:25] Speaker A: Totally. I love it. This is epic. The bright white light shining down from above. The horns flickering and almost moving in this light. Thunder booming, hands grasping, blood spraying. Mo is trying to fake stab at will still. [00:47:45] Speaker C: So I think on one of these, I should flatten myself to the ground, and then you should split an image off of me and cast me down. And then when that image hits the ground, I'll snuff the lights out. [00:48:01] Speaker D: Whoa. Okay, so you're gonna lay down on the ground, or we could. So because I can make this illusion, we could disappear into this illusion, presumably. Is that. Is that how the spell works? Like it's an illusion? [00:48:13] Speaker A: It could look whatever it looks like. [00:48:17] Speaker D: If we go into this image. Beth wack. Like, we could potentially. We could even fly over through the horns. So we're not standing on the ground between the horns. And then we could actually fall if you wanted to do your own stunts. You said that before. So, like, we could actually fall if you want. But I'll just make this look like we're, you know, punching each other and everything. And then when I like, it can be mirror. I mean, I'm assuming I could, like, make us look like we're there, but we're really behind this image until I make us where we are, where we actually are. Does that make sense? [00:48:52] Speaker A: Long as you're within it, yes. It can look like whatever you want. [00:48:55] Speaker D: All right, cool. [00:48:55] Speaker C: So we've got to be in this 20 foot square blob. [00:48:59] Speaker A: We've got to be 20ft within it. Well, he can even move the square. [00:49:03] Speaker D: Move it? [00:49:03] Speaker A: Yeah, or the cube. [00:49:05] Speaker D: We're basically, like, in a big movie projection ball. Like. Like that. Right? Like, I feel like I'm just projecting this image. [00:49:12] Speaker A: It's like a hologram. [00:49:13] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:49:14] Speaker C: Okay, sweet. All right, so then we've got to, uh. So we've got to fly up over the. Over the horns? [00:49:21] Speaker D: Yeah, it's like, just don't touch the ground. Bathwack. I don't know. They said don't stand between the horns. We don't need to add any bad luck to our situation. We already have Roscoe. [00:49:34] Speaker C: All right, so definitely, I'll stay. I'll stay up in the air, then, from you here on out, as we get close. [00:49:41] Speaker A: So, yeah, describe your illusion. So he's floating. And now what? [00:49:47] Speaker C: You're making me vanish, right? You're gonna. You're gonna sub out? [00:49:50] Speaker D: Yeah. Like, well, yeah, so. So we. So, like I said, we're moving, like, so that we're basically obscured by this illusion that's gonna take. We're in it. Yeah. And so, like. And he's, like, bloody. And I'm saying, like, that this dark power stuff seems to just be, like, getting more excited around us. I don't know. The ground is crackling and, like, as much as I can do in this twenties. Foot cube. [00:50:18] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:50:19] Speaker D: Don't want to make it look too cube ish. That would be a little weird. Then people will tell that it's a special effect. [00:50:24] Speaker A: Like, you want to make, like, the ground rumble. [00:50:26] Speaker D: Yeah, if I can. I don't know if that works. I don't think I can do that. I don't. [00:50:31] Speaker A: I think it's an illusion. [00:50:33] Speaker D: Sure. And I. And I. I don't know, I make it look like I'm, like, sucking the energy out of bathwack. Like his. He's, like, decaying or something. He's like the. He's like the knight in. Or. No, not the knight. He's like the bad guy in last crusade. I can't even. You know, when he drinks from the wrong goblet and it's like. [00:50:55] Speaker A: Not from the carpenter's cup. [00:50:56] Speaker D: Not for the carpenter. Yeah, exactly. So, like, I picture, like, that's what's happening. It's like this power is growing or whatever, and. Am I supposed to die, though? Am I gonna die, too? Vathwack is your spell. Should your son come down and incinerate me, too? [00:51:15] Speaker C: Totally up to you. [00:51:16] Speaker D: All right, fucking kill me. Let's kill each other. Do I. [00:51:20] Speaker E: Do we have remains for you? [00:51:23] Speaker D: The other. That's the funny thing. So, like, I think it's great that, like. No, we don't. We don't have remains for me, but I could. I could cast that spell. At this point, with the spells I have used, I can cast that spell again. [00:51:37] Speaker E: Which one? [00:51:38] Speaker D: The creation spell where I could create more bones. So if that becomes the plan. But also, like, maybe all the bones aren't even found. Like, we're falling into the. [00:51:48] Speaker E: I. Yeah, I don't know. I feel like. I feel like it might. It's kind of useful to have this character in our back pocket. So, like, maybe he escapes, by which. [00:52:00] Speaker D: I mean, will story. Would that be bad? Bathrock will just. Everyone will just be sad for bathrock. Like, he didn't actually save anybody. And this villain got away with it. [00:52:10] Speaker E: Well, I guess maybe. [00:52:11] Speaker D: I mean, if the question. [00:52:12] Speaker E: If people would question, like, hey, why are they just, like, the guy who killed their friend got away? Why are they just sailing across the sea to the funeral instead of getting revenge? Like, maybe in that case, maybe we do need to kill off Nat's grandpa. [00:52:28] Speaker A: And go back to Barovia and kill the real one. Tie up all the loose ends. [00:52:32] Speaker D: Yes, exactly. Can't have any risks. Yeah, I feel like we all would have discussed this. Like, yeah, we're. [00:52:41] Speaker C: That's going to be the season two epilogue. We're going. Going back to Perovia all the way from wherever we end up. Yeah. Like, it could be that ever after. [00:52:56] Speaker D: Because. So I don't want to, like, destroy you. Like, I'm destroying Bathwatch, but then I rewind the destruction a little bit. If Bathwatch is like, no, I also kill you or whatever, you know, like, whatever. Whatever the plan is, I don't want to ruin any plan that we actually would have. [00:53:08] Speaker A: Yeah, so you can represent whatever you want in this cube. [00:53:13] Speaker D: What does everybody want? [00:53:14] Speaker C: I would have, well, I don't know. Maybe you. Maybe you. Maybe you fly through the light and then. [00:53:20] Speaker D: That's what I was gonna say. [00:53:21] Speaker C: Disintegrate on the way down or something. Yeah. [00:53:23] Speaker D: Yeah, the sun. That sun thing is pretty cool. Yeah. Okay. [00:53:29] Speaker B: Right? [00:53:29] Speaker D: Because there's just, like, a sun above the horns, and then the horns are also sparkling. [00:53:34] Speaker B: Is that right? [00:53:35] Speaker D: Okay. All right, cool. [00:53:37] Speaker A: Horns are sparkling. Almost moving. The ground is shaking. [00:53:41] Speaker D: Yeah. So, yeah, so, like, it's looking like. I mean, I'll. Then I'll let you know. Alix, describe what bathwack does or whatever to, like, make me fly through the sun or what. I don't know, like, what is. What happens? Like, we. Where. [00:53:54] Speaker C: Well, I mean, now it's. It's just crazy magic. So, yeah, you can do what you. You can do what you want, but, uh, I guess bath, like, will just gesture, and it'll be some insane, you know, dying magic to just pull you through this thing and end it. [00:54:10] Speaker D: Is the, um. Is the light, like, it's not a harmful light, is it says will? [00:54:14] Speaker C: No. [00:54:14] Speaker D: Like, I have no idea. [00:54:15] Speaker C: No, it's just. It's just light. It's just sunlight. [00:54:19] Speaker D: And you can control when it comes? [00:54:21] Speaker C: I can. I can't. I don't know if I can. I actually don't. I don't know the technical rules for this thing. I don't know if I can move it or anything. I choose a point. I put it there. That's it. [00:54:35] Speaker D: So what if. What if, as we are so, like, I'm like, this bad magic power is, like, draining you of life or whatever, but then, like, as we're kind of floating through the horns, I can make it look like some holy relic on you is glowing. And that, like, you know, that gives you the power to, like, we both are. We both flying into the sun and then our bones fall down, like, what's happening? [00:55:04] Speaker C: No, I think I'm just gonna plummet and I'll hit the. I'll hit the ground, but I will. [00:55:09] Speaker B: Fly up and go poof. [00:55:12] Speaker C: I mean, what. Let's see. What does it look like? I mean, I kind of imagined us both like, that. You're lifting me up. You're, like, you know, destroying me and, like, casting me over the side. [00:55:24] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:55:24] Speaker C: But then, like you said in this last minute, I, like, pull you up through the sunlight and you, like, I don't know, evaporate or catch on fire. Whatever you feel. Yeah. [00:55:32] Speaker E: Does will need to cast some kind of spell at you? Like, down. Nobody sees where it hits, but a spell that would ostensibly incinerate you or turn you to bones or something. So while you're doing. You're doing that. While will push it. While you push will into the sun. And so it's like. It's like you're shooting each other at the same time. [00:55:53] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, something like that. That's cool. [00:55:55] Speaker D: Cool. [00:55:56] Speaker C: Um. Okay, but then we're flying through this illusion and down toward the water and. Yeah, we'll end up. End up landing down there. [00:56:03] Speaker D: Yeah. Cool. [00:56:05] Speaker C: All right, let's do it. [00:56:07] Speaker D: When. [00:56:07] Speaker C: When my. When I finally reached the bottom with the flames, the illusion of flames all around me, I'll. I'll. I'll snuff the light at the top. [00:56:16] Speaker D: Cool. [00:56:17] Speaker C: Like, when I hit the water. [00:56:18] Speaker A: Right. Okay, so, um. [00:56:21] Speaker C: Or the beach. I don't know what's down there. [00:56:24] Speaker A: All right, so while you're still 20ft apart, will flies into. Nat's grandpa flies into the sun and explodes or something. [00:56:33] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:56:33] Speaker A: As ca. As he casts some magic spell down towards Bathwac. And then you're gonna pretty quickly be less. Further than 20ft apart. So when he's also, like, over the side of the cliff. [00:56:48] Speaker D: Well, what I'm saying, like, are we within 20ft if he is wherever he is and I'm up in the sun? Because I can still have the illusion in front of us, or I can. [00:57:02] Speaker A: He's gonna be out of sight soon. Like, if not, isn't it just the. [00:57:06] Speaker E: Image of you that's. [00:57:07] Speaker D: That goes into the sun, right. So, like, okay, yeah, you could be. [00:57:11] Speaker A: Wherever you want as long as you're in the cube. [00:57:13] Speaker D: Okay, cool. Well, then I go down, too. I go down because, like, if I can get to a place where I can walk up and be invisible, that's what I'll do next or whatever. Unless we had some other thing that I was supposed to do. Was there another thing? [00:57:27] Speaker A: I don't think so. [00:57:27] Speaker D: Oh, no. Was my. I wasn't supposed to have bones. Right. [00:57:30] Speaker E: I guess I've been assuming that Will's exit plan here was. Would be to, like, down. I mean, eventually to turn into, like. I mean, you have to get out of here without anybody seeing you. [00:57:41] Speaker D: Yep. [00:57:42] Speaker E: So, yeah, that's all you need to do. And Will has there clinging to the. [00:57:48] Speaker A: Side of a corn, hiding, peeking out. So bathwax falling. He's not in the cube anymore, but he's just falling in control of his fall with the. The boots or whatever. Maybe you. [00:58:02] Speaker C: I'm trying to sell accelerate realistically. [00:58:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:58:06] Speaker C: Yeah, that's right. Maybe I'll just fall for a little while. [00:58:08] Speaker A: Yeah. Let's catch yourself. [00:58:10] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:58:12] Speaker A: So where. I need to know where you're going, Will, so. [00:58:16] Speaker D: But are you saying that people will see him fall? [00:58:19] Speaker A: Right. [00:58:19] Speaker D: Wrong way or something, or can I just go? I don't understand. Where are the images? [00:58:23] Speaker A: Where are you going? [00:58:23] Speaker D: Ten minutes. [00:58:24] Speaker A: The images around you. Yeah. So I'm just. [00:58:26] Speaker D: I'm trying to make it look like I'm vaporized. And then I move away because Bathrock said he was going to turn off that sunlight or whatever. [00:58:33] Speaker A: Right. [00:58:33] Speaker D: That's. You know, I. So I don't want to have control over that illusion. That's his. Whatever. [00:58:37] Speaker A: Yep. [00:58:38] Speaker D: So I make it look like I disintegrate, and then I. I guess I just fly. I literally. It's like I use the. Is this possible? This seems overpowered, but, like, to use major image is almost like a visibility again. [00:58:52] Speaker A: That's why it's concentration. Yeah. [00:58:54] Speaker D: Okay, well, then I just kind of float over, I guess, towards the woods because I don't think I need to be here. The Valencia, you're not going down. [00:59:06] Speaker A: You're going, like, back across the road, I guess. [00:59:09] Speaker D: You know what, though? Like, maybe. Maybe they might need me. They might need me for something. I don't want to abandon them. How much room? I mean, so we only have this one image where it looks like there's no place to hide around here. I float over to the woods, but I stay relatively nearby so that if somebody needs me, and then I just disguise myself to look like some townsfolk, some schmo. Yeah, just like I'm. Like, I got there, but I'm scared, and I'm watching it, but I'm. But I'm trying not to be seen. I'm trying to hide behind a tree. [00:59:40] Speaker A: All right, so, yeah, there's this massive. As you incinerate, and the spell connects with. With bath whack. And you can make sounds in major image, right? Yes, yes, you can, you know, accompany all of that. And the. The lights on the. The corns are pulsating more and more, and, yeah, bath whack drops out of view as the dust settles. Rufina or Roscoe, are you doing anything to supplement this or in addition or in contrast to. [01:00:16] Speaker B: As it becomes the time when bath whack would hit the water, Rafina uses thaumaturgy to create a harmless tremor of the earth. [01:00:29] Speaker A: Okay. [01:00:31] Speaker C: And I'd snuff the light out. Pretty soon as I get close to the ground, I need to slow down. [01:00:35] Speaker A: Sure. Okay, so, yeah, the light blinks out. It's all of a sudden much darker up here. Raska, you feel the ground shake under your feet that rufina casts. Do you maintain the lights on the corns? [01:00:55] Speaker B: No, they shut out almost. It would have been nice if they could be exactly when the light goes out, but there's really no way for us to coordinate that. So almost immediately after. [01:01:05] Speaker A: Got it. [01:01:05] Speaker D: Okay. [01:01:06] Speaker A: You shake the ground, and you go to blink the lights out on the corns, and you do your glowing little fairy lights click off. And anybody who's looking sees that with these light sources all extinguished, they had been very nicely hiding the fact that these corns. There are these brilliant red glowing lines that are coursing through the surface of the corns. [01:01:45] Speaker D: What? [01:01:46] Speaker A: And the little tremor that you made, Rufina, seems to be going on for much too long, and it's actually growing in intensity. And then you know how, like, the. The glowing. Your little lights made it look like the. The horns were moving. You all hear a massive. As both of the horns pull away from the cliff and bathwack. If you're. If you're looking up, you can see these horns separate from the. The side of the cliff there. And you see these two brilliant red lights appear down below the horns, one right next to each other. And then below that, this massive maw opens up, and a bright orange light shoots out from it. And it looks like something is extricating itself from the cliff wall topped with two massive, massive corns. [01:02:59] Speaker D: Wow. [01:03:00] Speaker A: Etched with these glowing red lights. I want to find out what happens next time on pork fried dice. [01:03:09] Speaker D: What? That's. The peaks are what they seem or whatever, right? [01:03:16] Speaker E: Aren't the same, are we? [01:03:18] Speaker D: Are what they seem, I think, is what they said. [01:03:21] Speaker B: So it's a devil. [01:03:22] Speaker E: It's just striking me, that. [01:03:24] Speaker D: Is it. [01:03:25] Speaker E: Are these supposed to be reminiscent of the rabbit ears? The two lights that led us to the captivating kind? [01:03:34] Speaker B: Ooh, interesting. [01:03:35] Speaker C: Oh, man. This is really gonna put a dent in our plan. [01:03:40] Speaker D: Yeah, because, like, you're supposed to be. [01:03:43] Speaker E: Dead, so you can't fight this thing. If it's something we have to fight without bathwater. Well, you could. You could disguise yourself and then. And then fight it as. As a. [01:03:55] Speaker A: Fight it with your fisherman. [01:03:56] Speaker E: Super fisherman. [01:03:57] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:03:57] Speaker D: Super fisherman. Super fisherman. Oh, my gosh. [01:04:02] Speaker E: And maybe he could know a lot more names for. For the crab. [01:04:09] Speaker B: Oh, my. [01:04:10] Speaker C: I'm going to disguise myself as a. Whatever this is. Wrangler. [01:04:15] Speaker B: Demon Wrangler. [01:04:16] Speaker C: It's a dragon. Cowboy. [01:04:20] Speaker D: Wrangler. [01:04:20] Speaker A: Cowboy. [01:04:22] Speaker D: What the fuck? I'm scared. [01:04:27] Speaker A: Me too. [01:04:27] Speaker D: What are we gonna do, Eric? Now? The choice. [01:04:31] Speaker C: It's been a really fun podcast. [01:04:33] Speaker D: This is like. Like, we just orchestrated the play. Like, we just did this, and now there's. [01:04:42] Speaker E: And Eric knew all along that was going to happen. [01:04:45] Speaker B: I think it's literally taken five sessions between then and now. [01:04:49] Speaker C: Yeah, we did it, guys. We orchestrated my death. Yay. [01:04:53] Speaker B: And woken up the demon right away. [01:04:56] Speaker E: It was a pretty awesome scene. And the fact, like, it's dramatically satisfying for there to be this huge, fucking horrifying wrinkle to our plan. I love it. [01:05:09] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:05:09] Speaker A: I didn't tell you the parenthetical. This is the death of Bathwa Madrak. Oh, and also the rest of you. [01:05:16] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:05:17] Speaker E: I mean, what? We fake all of our deaths? That's even better. [01:05:21] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:05:21] Speaker C: It's fake, though. It's fake. [01:05:23] Speaker D: But, guys, like, how am I gonna help? Be somebody else, be just some that we're all gonna end up being all these entirely new characters for a few minutes. [01:05:34] Speaker B: I mean, who's gonna watch us fight this thing? [01:05:37] Speaker D: I just was wandering around in the woods, and now I'm here to fight this devil. [01:05:41] Speaker C: I'm just gonna swim down to my. My underwater sea lab. I'm gonna wait this out, and then I'll come up and, I don't know, collect the rest of your bodies and bones. Yeah, yeah. I don't know. [01:05:55] Speaker A: So many bones. [01:05:56] Speaker C: I think this is a good time for us to take a little vacation. We should change our costumes, you know, go. Go for a little hike. We'll come back. I mean, maybe whatever this is will have ruined whatever this town is and this all of Gully's end, but, you know. [01:06:16] Speaker D: Yeah, that's the thing. We're gonna have to decide just how much we're committed to our thing. [01:06:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:06:23] Speaker D: Hopefully this thing doesn't just turn around and destroy the cruise ship. Otherwise, I mean, we could just let it destroy the town and the cruise ship. We take it, go somewhere. [01:06:33] Speaker C: Like, we're like, sorry, bathwag's dead. We can't really do anything. [01:06:37] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah, we're useless. [01:06:39] Speaker C: That's serious commitment to let something destroy the entire town. [01:06:44] Speaker D: I'm sure Bathwack won't let it happen. I'm very curious to see what Bathwack. Like, what bathwax plans become. Like, when he's like, oh, no, here's an enemy to fight, but I'm supposed to be dead. So curious. [01:06:56] Speaker E: We don't even know that this thing's a bad guy yet. [01:06:59] Speaker D: Right. He could just be nice. [01:07:00] Speaker C: That's right. [01:07:01] Speaker D: Why? [01:07:02] Speaker A: Maybe it's just a geological marvel. [01:07:06] Speaker C: Wow. Yeah, it's like an earthquake that the. Yeah, the horns just fell off, and these lights are just those, you know, they're stresses that they're lights from the stresses. [01:07:18] Speaker E: Nobody went through. Nobody went between the horns. Right? [01:07:21] Speaker D: Miles floated like, we floated through. I thought it was like, don't go on the ground between them, but maybe I am wrong. [01:07:30] Speaker E: You guys went through it? [01:07:32] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, we definitely went through it, but we didn't go on the ground. [01:07:35] Speaker A: Yeah, nothing to do with you guys going through the horns. [01:07:40] Speaker B: Oh, spoilers. [01:07:42] Speaker C: Okay. [01:07:43] Speaker D: Oh. [01:07:43] Speaker A: So I'm gonna tell you. I'll tell you this because you're not gonna ever find this out. The demon's leap had its reputation because the ground between the horns is, like, this weird, like, optical illusion. And it's like, it's tilted way more than it looks. Like, just because of, like, the angle of everything, multiple people have fallen to the depths from there. Just because it's hard to judge. Like, it's a cool place to, like, look out from and whatever. Like, say, look at me. I'm between the horns. But it's very tricky. [01:08:23] Speaker E: It's like a reverse crusade. [01:08:26] Speaker D: I see. [01:08:27] Speaker C: But it's like. It's, like, tilted. Kind of like. Like a. Like a. Like off of a cat's ears. Kind of tilted? Yeah. Like the little slide down the cat's nose. [01:08:39] Speaker B: Like, yeah. [01:08:40] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:08:42] Speaker B: But also, why didn't they? So, like, they said, it. It is what it seems. So somebody knows that they are actual demon. [01:08:50] Speaker D: It was it as. Wait, was it the guy broadcasting it. [01:08:54] Speaker A: Through his mouth in the old Rondell? [01:08:57] Speaker D: The old Rondelle? Yeah. Yeah. [01:08:59] Speaker B: Okay, okay, okay. So that was part of the trance. That's right. [01:09:02] Speaker D: Yeah. So, like, I'm what? We don't know yet who is sending us these messages or if it's like a God or like. Like, who knows? It's weird that somebody seems to be trying to help us, I think. [01:09:14] Speaker B: Well, and the half orc seemed to know that this. That we were going to be awakening it by, you know, playing around with this. And that's why she. [01:09:23] Speaker D: Why? [01:09:23] Speaker B: Well, she said, I will do anything to help protect this town. Cause it sounds like this is a destructive force that could take down. [01:09:31] Speaker E: I interpreted that as just like, this crab is fucking up my town. [01:09:34] Speaker B: Yeah, no, I don't know. I could be wrong, but that's what I thought, too. [01:09:38] Speaker D: Yeah, but it seems like she's dying on the mountains, so nobody. [01:09:41] Speaker A: Yeah, you killed her, so, no, you'll never know. [01:09:43] Speaker C: Oh, crap. [01:09:44] Speaker D: She's dead. She's just incompetent. [01:09:45] Speaker A: I didn't say. [01:09:47] Speaker D: Well, she. But you haven't checked. [01:09:48] Speaker C: You didn't try to stabilize. Yeah. [01:09:51] Speaker D: You have to do death saving. [01:09:54] Speaker C: I thought someone went. I thought someone was going to go back and do something about it. [01:09:58] Speaker B: We haven't had time. I've been thaumaturgy all over the place. I'm so. [01:10:04] Speaker C: Rufina killed two people. [01:10:05] Speaker D: Will you shut your mouth? I mean, you don't know her fate. [01:10:11] Speaker E: Yeah, she's a cleric, not a healer. Well, that was fun. [01:10:22] Speaker B: Yeah, that was fun. I need to go to bed. I'm so tired. [01:10:29] Speaker D: Hanging out. It was. [01:10:31] Speaker E: Thanks for being everybody. [01:10:34] Speaker B: I loved it. [01:10:35] Speaker E: Have a good rest of your weekend. [01:10:37] Speaker B: You as well. Enjoy your Sunday. [01:10:41] Speaker E: Good night.
